The hotel was a perfect place for enjoying a beautiful area, next to takaka shops and restaurants, Golden Bay and forest. The room was well-equipped and outstanding, had private bathroom. Even though the bed was a little firm, it was comfortable stay. The location was stunning and marvellous, overlooking garden.
Wi-Fi signal was very weak, made me a little nervous.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and loved it. I was happy with venue's stunning and marvellous location by attractive greenery. The room was good sized and excellent and had private bathroom plus an electric kettle, a fridge, and an oven. Location: the hotel was close enough to a wee private garden and a running stream in a Bush and Golden Bay. I checked out Paynes Ford, that was set relatively near the property.

Super clean chalet with a fantastic location right by the owner's house. It's surrounded by beautiful greenery and has a calming stream just steps away. Loved sitting on the verandah - listening to the peaceful sound of running water. The bathroom with its floor to ceiling glass panels was a unique experience. Plus - the shower had great pressure and Nature's Best NZ amenities.
Can just recommend.

Jaw-dropping stay amidst native NZ bush! Mind-blowing indoor/outdoor shower with a view of the forest. Super comfortable bed and well-equipped studio. Exceptionally clean and beautifully presented. Ngarie, the host, was incredibly nice and accommodating. Ideal location, close to nature yet a short drive to shops and restaurants. Wi-fi, free parking, outdoor dining area, picnic area/tables, paid airport shuttle, laundry. Pets allowed. Non-smoking rooms available.

We enjoyed the lush green surroundings and the soothing sound of the nearby stream. The room had everything we needed, and the bathroom was beautifully decorated with attention to detail. The full-size window in the bathroom added an extra charm.
The bed was very firm and uncomfortable, and the flat feather pillows were not to our liking. We also had to go outside to access the bathroom, which was not mentioned beforehand.

This tranquil retreat is situated amongst the greenery and near a stream, providing a peaceful experience for guests. The accommodation is comfortable with modern facilities, including glass-panelled bathrooms that provide a unique nature experience. The chalet is well-equipped with thoughtful amenities, such as ample cooking facilities, and a deck to relax and listen to the birdlife.
Accessing the chalet may be slightly challenging due to steep stairs or a distant parking spot.

I had an amazing time staying here. The location was perfect, surrounded by attractive greenery and next to a small river. It was also central to surrounding attractions. My room was clean and had great hotel facilities, including a fantastic kitchenette and an amazing shower with a full glass front. The breakfast was also fantastic, and the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly.
All was perfect.

Great getaway during Easter weekend. Loved the stunning natural surroundings and the peacefulness. The bed was comfy and the shower was refreshing after a long day exploring. The thoughtful addition of shampoo and body lotion was appreciated.
The sliding door to access the bathroom from the outside porch was a surprise, and the bed was on the firm side with flat pillows. While the location was beautiful, it was a bit of a hassle to go down the steps with a heavier luggage.

For the amazing value we paid, our stay at Chalet Karaka was truly worth every penny. The room was comfortable, clean, and had a beautiful view of the river. The location was convenient, with easy access to Abel Tasman NP and other attractions nearby. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel breakfast menu could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

This hotel was a luxurious retreat with exclusive amenities that exceeded my expectations. The room was exquisitely presented and well equipped with private facilities such as a beautiful bathroom and shower that provided an incredible view of nature. The service was exceptional and the staff were accommodating to all my needs. I enjoyed spending time in the sun terrace and garden area, where I could relax and admire the stunning surroundings. Location advantages allowed me to explore the local area with ease.
The only minor issue I experienced was upon arrival. The check-in experience was not what I expected, as there was a slight delay due to unforeseen circumstances.
